Childhood-
As a child, Chopin was generally intelligent. He had talents to mimic other's voices. Chopin could also observe and sketch well, to the point that the school teacher was pleased to see Chopin draw a portrait of the teacher during class time. Not only academically, but he was also full of wits and humors. As a teenager he also showed great writing skills enough to write in a newspaper.
Meeting with George Sand-
During his stay in Paris, he was invited to a party held by one of Liszt's friends. There, Chopin met a French writer George Sand. Although at first, Chopin showed a sense of dislike to her - one evidence being that he argued with his friend (Ferdinand Hiller) that Sand was a repulsive woman. However, they ended up living together for nine years until Chopin falls ill and depressed in 1847 when Sand leaves him.

Chopin's family was originally a talented musicians, Frederic Chopin's father, Nicholas Chopin is a flautist and a violinist, and the mother, a pianist. Because Chopin's family was running a dormitory for elite students, the mother taught piano to these students. This is the reason why Frederic Chopin was very close to music since he was an infant.
